Mr. Adoula, Prime Minister of the Congo must be the first African Leader to say publicly in London that he did not want British money for his country until there was a firm basis of mutual confidence and friendship ,which he rated above hard cash. The self-confidence and maturity indicated by this attitude certainly made a favorable impression, as did Mr. Adoula’s reception at the Congo Embassy for an exceptionally representative cross-section of London’s parliamentary, diplomatic and business life..
