- African National Congress leader and Minister of African Education in Northern Rhodesia, Mr. Harry Nkumbula, told a party rally on the Copper belt that a conference will be held in London to discuss the dissolution of the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland ,and a commission will be appointed to advise on the break-up.
