- Several caves containing large drums have been discovered at various places in the central Province of Tanganyika by thr curator of the King George V Memorial Museum in Dar es Salaam.
- An appeal has been made by the librarian of Makerere College in Uganda for books ,memoirs and other literature about East Africa.
- It is hoped that the Library may become a reference center from all the territories.
