- Speaking at the emergency meeting of the Security council convened to discuss the crisis in the Congo , Mr. Hammarskjold said that it was a matter of peace and war and the war might not be confined to the congo. The emergency session of the security Council decided that the remaining Belgian troops must speedily leave the Congo and the united Nations troops must enter Katanga.
