There is a row raging in Kenya over the merits and demerits of flouride toothpastes. The director of medical services, Dr. Wilfred Koinange, ruled that no more flouride toothpastes should be advertised on Kenyan radio and television. However Kenya Dental Association responded that in his ruling he ignored eentirely the scientific data and evidence which supported continued use of floride toothpastes.
