The ban by the director of medical services, Dr. Wilfred Koinange, on the anti-athritis drug ,Suprocil is welcome. The drug has been withdrawn from prescription in Britain and other countries on account adverse side effects which in some cases led to death. The intriguing question, is why the Kenya government took so long to act.The drug was withdrawn in the UK more than three years ago.
