The commander of the disbanded Kenya Air Force, Major-General Peter M. Kariuki ,who was charged with two counts of failing to use his utmost endeavor to prevent and suppress a mutiny on August 1 was brought before the court.
The court ruled that only matters of state security would be heard in camera, then the persecuting officer outlined the circumstances of the offences Kariuki is supposed to have committed.
