- Kenya has a new parliament and a new cabinet, but the problems which prompted the president to call early elections this year remain, and whether they can be solved and solved soon, will depend very much on whether the newly appointed cabinet and top public servants heed the president’s call for devotion to national (rather than personal or tribal ) interests.
